CV Remote Solutions (CVRS) device professionals understand that caring for the cardiac device patient involves more than just gathering information. Managing the device patient requires intentional staff planning, constant workflow optimization, and careful monitoring of connectivity and alert programming.
The mission of our company is to optimize the care of cardiac device patients in partnership with clinics. By keeping the patients connected, evaluating alert programming, and supporting clinics with a technical review of device transmissions, we enable device clinic personnel to focus on providing the best level of care to their Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) patient.
The CVRS Cardiac Device Clinician provides technical and clinical support in the remote monitoring setting. In addition to managing and interpreting CIED remote transmission data, one must have comprehensive knowledge of and be able to navigate the CIED industry sites. This position requires a high level of clinical skills and independence.

Job Summary
- Providing patient-centered care through professional practice to improve health and quality of life in the remote monitoring setting.
- Age-appropriate care is provided to patients and families.
- Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
- Maintains professional competencies by attending educational programs, participating in professional organizations, and subscribing to reading professional journals or other appropriate activities.

Core Functions
- Provide an analysis of the data from cardiac electronic implanted devices (CIEDs).
- Appropriately alert designated persons to possible concerns regarding patient status.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other providers regarding CIED function, diagnostic data, and overall patient status through accurate, professional, and standardized documentation.
- Implement CV Remote Solutions approved protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support a healthy work environment and ensure a culture of safety.
- Provide care and delegate aspects of care to other members of the team consistent with their level of preparation (licensure/ credentials/ certifications) and job description utilizing time and resources effectively.
- Identify opportunities to enhance workflows in collaboration with the customer and CV Remote Solutions senior leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and follow all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Protected Health Information (PHI) standards/protocols.
- Work independently to practice autonomously consistent with professional standards.
- Maintain knowledge and competency that reflects current practice through continuing education.
- Perform a Professional Practice Evaluation to assess one’s own practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Demonstrate collegiality in interactions and contribute to the professional environment and professional development of peers.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team members in the conduct of nursing practice.
- Consider resource utilization and factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on CV Remote Solutions practice in the planning and delivering services.
- Provide leadership in the professional practice setting. Participates in CVRS team forums, collectively working toward a common goal, through clinical practice, education, research, performance improvement, and professional activities.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred
- Minimum five years of cardiovascular nursing, electrophysiology nursing, critical care nursing, or cardiac device nursing experience is required.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse, preferred.
- International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification, or willing to complete within first year of employment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Sufficient knowledge to incorporate medications and clinical data into remote transmission evaluations.
